A roommate story happens in the hallway, the kitchen and on the couch at midnight: two adults who share a home and know each other’s habits. These housemates are AI characters, fictional like everyone on Feever and 18 or older, with a backstory and a personality that shows in how they live: tidy or chaotic, early riser or night owl. Roommates are equals who happen to share a door key, so the closeness comes from routine rather than obligation.
Read a profile the way you would meet a housemate before moving in. The hook line sets the starting point, whether that is a late arrival or a sink full of dishes. In Filters, playful gives you banter over breakfast and caring gives you someone who notices a long day. A role typed into search finds a housemate you would have things to say to.

What is it like to chat with a roommate character?
A bit like texting someone you live with: familiar and low stakes. A conversation can start from who is cooking, whose turn it is to take out the trash, a show you both follow or a bad day at work, and drift from there. The character has a backstory and personality of its own, so expect opinions about the thermostat.
Is a roommate story always romantic?
No. You choose the direction. In these stories the two of you share a home as equals and nothing about the arrangement obliges anyone to be romantic, so it can stay a friendly, funny housemate story or turn into a slow romance. Say what you want in the chat, and the character keeps to its profile either way.
Can I set a scene, like a late night in the kitchen?
Yes. Say where you are and what is happening, for example that you have just come home or that you are making dinner, and the character joins in. The more specific the scene, the easier it is for the character to answer in kind.
Will a roommate character remember my habits?
A little. A character’s memory is a short list of notes, your name and tastes among them, so it holds a favorite takeout better than a full account of your week. You control the list: see, edit or delete notes in the memory panel, or ask the character to forget everything.
