Draft — pending legal review
This document is a working draft written for Feever. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch. Highlighted tokens such as {{COMPANY_NAME}} are placeholders for company details that are still to be confirmed.
Feever is an adults-only service for chatting with AI characters. What you say in those chats can be very personal, so we try to collect only what we need, keep it only as long as we need it, and put the controls in your hands. This policy explains what we do with your data.
1. Who we are
The company responsible for your personal data (the “controller”) is {{COMPANY_NAME}}, company number {{COMPANY_REG_NO}}, of {{COMPANY_ADDRESS}}. “Feever”, “we” and “us” mean {{COMPANY_NAME}}.
For any question about this policy or your data, write to support@feever.app. Choose the topic “Account” on the Support page, or write to us at the address above.
Draft
This is a working draft pending legal review. Named providers, retention periods and legal bases will be confirmed before launch.
2. The data we collect
| What | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Email address; a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself); display name; profile picture if Google shares one; how you signed up; when you confirmed your email; when you confirmed you are 18 or older | You, or Google if you use “Continue with Google” |
| Guest sessions | A random session ID; the messages and choices you make before you create an account | Created automatically when you first act |
| Chats and memory | Every message you send and every reply; edits and regenerations; unsent drafts that sync between your devices; short “memory” notes a character keeps about you, such as your name or interests | You, and the AI |
| Characters and activity | Characters you create; characters you like or follow; comments; what you have unlocked | You |
| Generated media | The prompts and settings you give; the images the service generates for you, and their previews; the status of each request | You, and the AI |
| Payments and wallet | Orders (product, amount, currency, status, date); your Premium plan and status; a history of every feeve added or spent. Card details go straight to our payment processor and are never stored by us | You, and our payment processor |
| Device and usage data | IP address; browser and device type; pages and features used; times; error and security logs | Collected automatically |
| Notifications | Your notification choices; if you turn on push, the address your browser gives us to reach you; emails we send and whether they were delivered | You, and your browser |
| Support and reports | What you send us (your email, the topic, your message, and optionally the conversation you refer to) and our replies | You |
| Affiliate program | If you apply: your website, a description of your audience, your payout email, your referral code and your referral, commission and payout records. If you arrive through an affiliate’s link: the time, the page you landed on, the website that referred you, and a one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself), plus the attribution cookie | You, and automatically |
| Voice (where offered) | Audio you speak during a voice call, its transcript, and the voice replies generated for you | You, and the AI |
Sensitive information
Chats can reveal sensitive things, such as sexual preferences or orientation. We use chat content only to run your conversations, memory and safety systems. We rely on your explicit consent to do so, which you give when you choose to chat and when you switch on mature content. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting chats or your account.
We do not knowingly collect any data from people under 18. We do not buy personal data about you from data brokers.
3. Why we use your data, and our legal bases
If you are in the UK or EEA, the law requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your data. These are ours:
| Purpose | What that means | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Provide Feever | Run accounts, guest sessions, chats, characters, media, your wallet and Premium | Performing our contract with you |
| Memory and personalisation | Let characters remember what you tell them and keep chats consistent | Contract; your explicit consent for sensitive information |
| Payments, fraud and abuse prevention | Take payment, spot fraud, enforce rate limits, protect accounts | Contract; our legitimate interests; legal obligations |
| Safety and moderation | Enforce the Content & Community Policy, handle reports, protect minors, support law enforcement where required | Our legitimate interests; legal obligations; protecting people from serious harm |
| Service messages | Email confirmation, receipts, security notices, policy changes | Contract; our legitimate interests |
| Notifications and offers you choose | Push notifications and promotional email you turn on | Your consent (you can withdraw it in Settings at any time) |
| Support | Answer your questions and fix problems | Contract; our legitimate interests |
| Improve and secure Feever | Fix bugs, measure speed, understand which features work. Optional analytics run only after you choose “Accept all” | Our legitimate interests; your consent for optional analytics |
| Affiliate program | Attribute sign-ups, calculate commission, prevent fraud and pay affiliates | Our and affiliates’ legitimate interests; contract (for affiliates) |
| Legal compliance | Tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests | Legal obligations |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. There are no advertising trackers on Feever.
4. How the AI features use your data
To produce a character’s reply, we send your latest message, recent chat history, the character’s instructions and any relevant memory notes to a large language model run by one of our AI providers. To produce an image, we send your prompt and settings to an image provider. We choose providers that act on our instructions as processors, and we send them only what is needed to do the job. We do not send your email address or account details with these requests.
- No automatic decisions with legal effects. Our keyword checks can automatically refuse a character you create, or a prompt for an image or video, if they break our rules. If you think we got it wrong, contact us and a person will look again.
- People and your chats. We do not read chats as a matter of routine. Access is limited to staff who need it, for example to investigate a report, fix a fault you asked us to look at, or respond to a legal request.
- Training. We do not sell your chats or use them for advertising. We configure providers not to use your content to train their own models where they let us choose. This setting will be confirmed for each provider before launch.
- Moderation. We check the characters members create, and prompts for images and videos, against lists of words and phrases, and people on our team review content that is reported. Chat messages and generated media are not scanned automatically today. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
6. How long we keep data
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account, chats, memories, characters, media and wallet records | Until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account and everything linked to it from our database straight away, and the files stored for your media are removed after that. Copies in backups age out within about 35 days. |
| Guest sessions | Deleted, with all their data, after 30 days with no activity |
| Sign-in sessions | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
| A chat you delete | Removed from our database when you delete it |
| A memory you delete, or “forget everything” | Stops being used by the character straight away. It is then erased permanently within 30 days |
| Order records | Deleted with your account. Our payment processor keeps its own records for as long as the law requires |
| Support messages | As long as we need them to help you and handle any follow-up, then deleted |
| Security and error logs | Up to 90 days |
| Affiliate click records | Up to 24 months, to calculate commission and prevent fraud. They hold a hash of the IP address, never the address itself |
| Reports and enforcement records | As long as needed to enforce our rules, handle appeals and meet legal duties. These can outlive an account, limited to what is necessary |
Draft values
These periods are draft values. Engineering will confirm each one against what the product actually does before launch.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. In the UK and EEA these include the right to:
- know what we hold and get a copy (access);
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted (erasure);
- restrict or object to some uses;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it;
- complain to your data protection authority.
If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we collect, use and disclose, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we use sensitive personal information only to provide the service. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
The quickest way is in the product: Settings, then Privacy and data, lets you export your data and delete your account. You can also write to support@feever.app. We may need to confirm it is you. We will answer within 30 days, and we will tell you if we need more time.
8. Controls you have in Feever
- Export: download your data from Settings, Privacy and data.
- Delete your account: Settings, Privacy and data. You confirm by typing DELETE. It cannot be undone.
- Delete a chat: from the chat or the inbox.
- See, edit and delete memories, or ask a character to forget everything, from its chat.
- Mature content: on only once you confirm you are 18 or older, and you can switch it off at any time (Settings, Content).
- Messages from characters: turn proactive messages off, or choose who may message you first (Settings, Chat). They follow a limit of one every 24 hours.
- Notifications: push, email, new posts, messages and offers each have their own switch (Settings, Notifications).
- Cookies: choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”, and change it from Cookie settings in the footer.
- Sign out everywhere: Settings, Account.
9. International transfers
Feever and its providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed in countries outside the one where you live, including the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we use a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses (and the UK addendum), and require providers to protect it to the same standard.
10. Children
Feever is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has used the service, we close the account and delete their data. If you think a child is using Feever, tell us at support@feever.app. See also the Content & Community Policy.
11. How we protect your data
- Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Sign-in tokens are random, are stored hashed on our side, and live in cookies the browser’s scripts cannot read.
- Referral and sign-in cookies are signed or random so they cannot be forged.
- Requests are rate-limited, and we check that sensitive requests come from our own site.
- Access to production data is limited to staff who need it.
- Media that belongs to you is held in private storage and shown to you through short-lived links.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires. To report a security problem, write to support@feever.app.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as Feever changes, and show the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies, by email or in the product.
14. Contact
{{COMPANY_NAME}}, company number {{COMPANY_REG_NO}}, {{COMPANY_ADDRESS}}. Email support@feever.app, or use the Support page and choose the topic “Account”. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
