Draft — pending legal review

This document is a working draft written for Feever. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch. Highlighted tokens such as {{COMPANY_NAME}} are placeholders for company details that are still to be confirmed.

This page lists everything Feever saves in your browser. The list is generated from the same inventory our tests check against the code, so a new cookie cannot ship without appearing here.

1. What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small piece of text that a website asks your browser to keep. Browsers also offer “local storage”, “session storage” and “cache storage”, which work in a similar way but are not sent to the server on every request. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them unless we say otherwise.

{{COMPANY_NAME}} runs Feever. This policy explains what we store on your device and why. For what we do with personal data more generally, see the Privacy Policy.

Draft

This is a working draft pending legal review. Company details marked with {{…}} will be filled in before launch.

2. Our approach

  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. There are no ad networks, no social media trackers and no cross-site tracking on Feever.
  • Essential and functional storage is on by default. Without it you could not sign in, we could not keep you safe, and your settings would not stick.
  • Optional analytics are off until you say yes. You choose “Accept all” or “Essential only” in the cookie bar. If you do nothing, we treat it as “Essential only”.
  • Nothing here identifies you by name. Cookies hold random tokens, short codes or on/off settings, not your name, email address or chat content.

3. Essential cookies

These are needed to give you the service you asked for. They are always on. Under the rules in most countries they do not need consent, which is why the cookie bar does not switch them off.

Essential cookies
NameHow it is setHow long it lastsWhat it does
aphrodite_sessionSet by our server; hidden from page scripts (HttpOnly)Up to 30 days; removed when you sign outKeeps you signed in. It also keeps a guest session together before you create an account. It holds a random token, not your name or email.
aphrodite_google_oauth_stateSet by our server; hidden from page scripts (HttpOnly)10 minutesProtects “Continue with Google” against forged sign-in requests. Removed as soon as sign-in finishes.
aphrodite_google_oauth_nextSet by our server; hidden from page scripts (HttpOnly)10 minutesRemembers which page to send you back to after Google sign-in. Removed as soon as sign-in finishes.
feever_consentSet by your browser1 yearRemembers your cookie choice (“all” or “essential”) so we do not ask again on every visit. Optional analytics stay off unless it says “all”.
feever_refSet by our server; hidden from page scripts (HttpOnly)Up to 30 daysAffiliate attribution. When you arrive through an approved affiliate’s link, it remembers who referred you so they can be credited if you sign up and buy. The first valid link wins. It holds a signed token (affiliate code, click ID, time), never your name or email.
feever_welcome_bonusSet by our server5 minutes at most; removed as soon as the message showsSet once, when a new account receives its welcome feeves, so the next page can tell you they arrived. It holds only the number of feeves.
Essential browser storage
NameTypeHow long it lastsWhat it does
feever:adult-opt-inLocal storageUntil you clear site dataRemembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older in this browser, which also turned on mature content, so the prompt is not shown again.

4. Functional cookies and storage

These remember a setting or a convenience you chose, and they are set only when you use that feature, such as changing your language or typing a message. They do not follow you around the web.

Functional cookies
NameHow it is setHow long it lastsWhat it does
feever_nsfwSet by our server; hidden from page scripts (HttpOnly)1 yearRemembers whether mature content is on or off, so the right version of Explore loads. It is set when you confirm you are 18 or older, or use the mature content switch. The server still checks your account setting before showing anything.
feever_accountSet by our server1 year; removed when you sign outSays whether this browser is signed in or chatting as a guest, so the top bar shows the right buttons while a page loads. It holds only “member” or “guest”, never who you are, and the server does not use it to decide anything.
feever_chatsSet by our server1 year; removed when you sign outRemembers whether you had chats last time, so the home page keeps room for “Continue chatting” while it loads instead of moving the page when it appears. It holds only “1”, never who you chat with, and the server does not use it to decide anything.
feever_tzSet by your browser1 year; removed when you sign outRemembers your time zone while you are signed in or chatting as a guest, so the times in a chat are right as soon as the page appears instead of filling in a moment later. It holds only a time zone name, such as “Europe/Paris”, and is written again only if your time zone changes.
aphrodite_localeSet by your browser1 yearRemembers your language choice.
Functional browser storage
NameTypeHow long it lastsWhat it does
aphrodite-chat:localeLocal storageUntil you clear site dataYour language choice, kept alongside the language cookie.
aphrodite-chat:engagement-countLocal storageUntil you clear site dataA counter on your device that helps decide when to suggest adding Feever to your home screen. It is never sent to us.
feever:create-ai:v1Session storageUntil you close the tab, or until your character is createdKeeps your answers in the Create AI wizard, so a refresh or signing up halfway through does not lose them. Stored only in your browser.
feever.paywall.selectionSession storageUntil you close the tab or the checkout ends; ignored after 30 minutesRemembers the plan or feeve pack you picked, so it is still selected after you sign up or sign in during checkout. Stored only in your browser.
feever:planLocal storageUntil you sign out or clear site dataRemembers whether your account was on Premium last time, so your plan’s card keeps its place while it loads instead of moving the page when it appears. It holds only “premium”, never payment details. Stored only in your browser.
feever:push-prompt-snoozed-atLocal storageUntil you clear site data; ignored after 14 daysRemembers when you dismissed the invitation to turn on notifications, so we do not ask again for 14 days. Stored only in your browser.
cravys:chat-draft:<conversation id>Local storageUntil you send the message or clear site dataSaves a message you have typed but not sent, one per conversation, so a reload does not lose it.
feever-shell-v3Cache storageUntil the app updates or you clear site dataPart of the installable app (service worker). It keeps an offline page, the app icon and the web manifest so the app can open without a connection. The same service worker delivers push notifications if you turn them on.

Some of these remember things on your device only. For example, your answers to the welcome questions and any unsent message draft are stored in your browser and are not sent to us.

5. Optional analytics

There are no analytics cookies today. The only measurement Feever does is a page-speed report. It is optional: it is sent only after you choose “Accept all”, and it does not use cookies.

Optional measurement
What is measuredWhat is sent, and whereWhy
Page-speed reportsTo Feever’s own servers (/api/rum): the page path, whether you are on a phone-sized screen, and three speed measurements (loading, responsiveness and layout stability). No cookies and no account ID.Finding slow pages so we can fix them.

If we ever add another kind of analytics, it will be listed here and will stay off until you choose “Accept all”.

6. Cookies from other companies

Two services you may use run on other companies’ servers and can set their own cookies or storage when you use them: “Continue with Google” (Google) and the bot-protection check that appears when you start a guest session or contact support (Cloudflare Turnstile). We do not control those, and they are covered by those companies’ own policies. Payment pages, when you buy feeves or Premium, are run by our payment processor, which will have its own cookie notice.

7. Your choices

  • The cookie bar. The first time you visit, choose “Accept all” or “Essential only”. We save your choice for one year in the feever_consent cookie.
  • Change it any time. Choose “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to open the choice again.
  • Your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear local storage by clearing “site data” for feever.app. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in or keep a guest session, and parts of Feever will not work.
  • Notifications. Push notifications are separate from cookies. You turn them on or off in Settings, and in your browser’s site settings.
  • Signing out removes the sign-in cookie. Deleting your account removes your account data; it cannot remove things already stored on your device, so you may wish to clear site data as well.

8. Changes to this policy

When we add or change a cookie, we update the lists above first. We show the date at the top, and ask again for your choice if we add anything optional.
