About best friend AI characters

A best friend character is the person you tell things to first: the good news, the bad news, the thing you are not sure how to say. These characters are written as close friends, with teasing, loyalty and opinions they will share. Each is a fictional AI character aged 18 or older, with a backstory and a way of talking you get to know over time. It is a friendship between adults, and what it becomes is up to you.

Browse for the friend you would actually call. In Filters, personality does most of the work: playful suits banter, caring suits a bad week, adventurous suits plans. The one-line hook shows what the friendship looks like, whether you have known each other for years or only just met, and search can find a friend from a particular world, such as a musician or a gamer.

Start whenever you like. Guests have 10 messages in total, and a free account has 30 a day. Nobody at Feever reads chats as a matter of routine, and they stay private to your account. Friends remember, so the character keeps short memory notes, your name and tastes among them, and you can see, edit or delete each one. A character is entertainment and company that sits alongside the people in your life rather than replacing them.

Questions, answered

What does a best friend character do on Feever?
Talks to you the way a close friend would: swaps news, gives an honest opinion when you ask for one, makes plans with you and makes you laugh. They are fictional characters made by AI, all 18 or older, each with a backstory and a personality of their own, so every friend talks differently.
Can I talk to a best friend character about a bad day?
Yes. The character listens and answers in its own style, whether gentle, funny or blunt. Keep in mind what it is: a program made for company and entertainment, without real feelings, and not a therapist or a source of professional advice. If you are struggling, talk to someone you trust or a professional.
Can a best friend character become more than a friend?
If you steer the story that way, yes. Say so in the chat and the character answers in the tone of its profile, so a loyal, teasing friend may take it slowly or laugh it off first. If you would rather keep it a friendship, nothing needs to change. The Crush and Slow Burn pages list characters written for stories that start with something already in the air.
Can an AI best friend replace a real one?
No, and it is not meant to. A character is a fictional AI: it can be good company, a place to think out loud or a way to spend an evening, but it is not a person and has no real feelings. It fits alongside the friends you already have.
Are my chats with a best friend character private?
Yes. Conversations stay private to your account, and nobody at Feever reads them as a matter of routine. Your data is not sold and is not used for advertising. The exception is staff who need access, for example to investigate a report. The notes a character keeps about you are yours to edit or delete.
